What we hold, and what we never see.

The short version

The figures you type into a tool never leave your browser. They are not uploaded, not stored, not logged, and not seen by us. That is how the tools are built, not a promise about how we behave.

The only personal information we hold is an email address, and only if you choose to give us one.

Your financial data

Every tool on this site calculates in your browser, on your own device. When you type or paste figures into a tool — revenue, budgets, payroll, invoice data, anything — those figures stay on your device. Closing the tab discards them. We could not produce your figures if we were asked to, because we never receive them.

Files you open in a tool, such as an invoice you are validating, are read in your browser in the same way and are not uploaded.

Email addresses, if you give us one

On the Consilium page you can ask to hear from us. There are two separate choices, and you may take either, both, or neither:

• The Consilium beta — we tell you when the beta is released, and offer you access while it is available by invitation only.
• The Consilium newsletter — writing on finance method and what we are building.

If you take neither, nothing is stored.

When you do, we store four things: your email address, which of the two you chose, the date you asked, and the page you asked from. We do not store your name, your employer, your job title, your IP address, or anything you entered into a tool.

Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box yourself. Neither box is ticked for you. We do not sell, rent or share your address, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.

Changing your mind

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and it works. The two choices are separate: leaving the newsletter does not cancel your beta notification, and cancelling the beta notification does not unsubscribe you from the newsletter. Turning both off removes your address entirely.

To have your address deleted, use the unsubscribe link and turn both off, or write to [contact address to confirm].

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to remove it, or until the purpose ends — if Consilium is never released, the beta list has no further purpose and is deleted.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which tools get used. It does not use cookies and stores nothing on your device. It does not identify you or build a profile of you across sites or visits. This is why the site has no cookie banner: there are no cookies to consent to.

Our own usage events record which tool was used and how — that a calculation completed, or that a CSV was exported. They never carry a financial value, a business label you typed, or your email address, and they cannot be connected to you.

Where the site runs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and email addresses are stored on Cloudflare’s infrastructure in Western Europe. Pages are served from Cloudflare’s network, which means they are delivered from a location near you.

Other people’s sites

Tool pages link to official sources — tax authorities, government guidance, standards bodies — so you can check what a tool tells you. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator. Since the only thing we can hold is an email address and the two choices above, most requests are answered by the unsubscribe link. For anything else, write to [contact address to confirm].

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we do with an address you have already given us, we ask you again rather than assuming the old consent covers the new thing.
